Panama Canal Miraflores Locks. It is a good place to observe the operation of the Panama Canal. It includes a historical tour inside the building, a documentary movie, and Observation Deck to watch the ships passing by the Canal. Duration 2:00 hrs
Panama Viejo (Old Panama City). It is a World Heritage site and was the first Spanish city founded on the Pacific side of the American continent on August 15, 1519. From here, Spaniards started the conquest of the Inca Empire and the colonization of South America. It was destroyed by the British pirate Henry Morgan in 1761. Duration 2:00 hrs
Causeway of Amador. It is a land bridge connecting three islands, Naos, Perico and Flamenco. It was built by the US military during World War II to protect the Pacific entrance of Panama. The place houses several ocean-view restaurants, duty free shops and marina, and a beautiful view of ships approaching to enter the Panama Canal. Duration: 1:30 hr.
Casco Antiguo (Old Quarter). It is a world heritage site and the place where Panama City was relocated in 1673 after the British pirate Henry Morgan destroyed the original city in 1671. It is a historical area full of old-style colonial and French architecture buildings, including the Presidential Palace, several government ministry buildings, a national museum, Panama Canal Museum, ruins of colonial churches, among others. It is also a good place to buy souvenirs. Duration: 1:30 hr.
